Swimming with Spinner Porpoises

Hulapo'e Bay, right below the hotel, is famous for a large pod of
Spinner Porpoises that come in often. If you just happen to be
snorkling out there, they will sometimes swim under and around you. I
just happened to have such an encounter a couple minutes ago. I was
out just above where my big toe is on this photo and was surrounded by
at least 30 of them. Some of the playful youngsters were going flips
and spins within 10 or 20 yards. Magnificent!!

Sailing Camp

I'm parent of the day at sailing camp. This is a video of the start of a race from the dock. Beautiful cloudless day in central Ohio with about 5mph winds (not much, but better than it was earlier).
