Wine Cellar

My new wine cellar is finally finished. It's one of those things that no matter how long you think it should take, always takes longer. A local contractor did most of the structural work (Derrick Layer Construction, they did great work) and the wine racks were done by a company named Wine Cellar Innovations. Also, a company called Western Carriers moved my wine from Charlotte to Columbus. I've unloaded most of my wine and looking forward to a kickoff party sometime soon. Now all I have to do is find some people who enjoy wine as much as I do and Columbus!

TV Review: State of Play

Energy industry, politics, murder, illicit affairs... Not groundbreaking premise for a show, but State of Play is a very well done series coming to us from Great Britain. I rented the six part mini-series on DVD and watched it over a couple of nights. I found it very engrossing. Bill Nighy is superb in supporting roll as the editor of the paper chasing the story of the murder of a legislative assistant to a Member of Parliament leading a commission studying the oil industry.

TV Review: Torchwood

I find the BBC show Torchwood, which is shown on HDNet, to be one of the most fun and interesting shows on television. As an avid X-Files watcher back in the day, I've never really found a replacement for that specific type of show, until now. Torchwood is a sort of supernatural police force that protects the world from aliens and other assorted bad-guys who occasionally fall through a rift in the space/time continuum that happens to be centered around Cardiff, Wales.
